Seeking beer nerds with service industry experience to join our team. This is a Taproom Manager position, for a new, growing brewery. We need a team player, especially as we start up and grow. New Taproom Manager will hire, train, and oversee staff and sell beer on site.
BackStory Brewery in Sulphur Springs, Texas needs a real craft beer enthusiast who wants to grow with our company, starting with opening and managing our large taproom. BackStory Brewery is a production brewery with a large taproom and a large event venue.
The manager will participate in some local and regional events to promote the brewery. Our taproom manager will be responsible for on-site local and regional promotions and event functions as well as managing inventory (retail items, bar supplies, etc…). The ideal candidate has a passion for the service industry and service industry management, an appreciation for craft beer, and knowledge of the local, regional, and national craft beer scene. An ideal candidate also has a fun sense of humor, is highly organized, reliable, and will be a good fit for our team. You will be the face of BackStory Brewery as head of the Sulphur Springs taproom!
As a BackStory Brewery Beertender, you will be an advocate for our brand of craft beer. We anticipate about 25 taps including craft soda and cold brew coffee. We are seeking a team player who knows and appreciates craft beer and can help guide our guests through the selection. Base knowledge and passion for craft beer is a plus, but not required as long as you are team oriented and interested in learning about craft beer. TABC certification or the ability to become TABC certified prior to beginning work is required.

As a BeerTender, responsibilities include greeting guests, interacting with guests, assisting guests with the beers on tap, taking guest orders, delivering beverages, ensure overall guest satisfaction, bussing empty tables, and ensuring the brewery is clean and sanitary. You may be directed for additional tasks by the management. Servers will need to be TABC certified prior to the first day of employment.
